Oh geez ... new MMO by Square-Enix
Stsin:
After Final Fantasy XIV, they've proven that have a long long ways to go, and how out of touch they are to even release that in beta. Any MMO player could have predicted that it was fail. I tried playing an hour on it with a friends account, and just wanted to quit to never look back. IMO, they were relying on name alone.
Well, I'm sure they are going to use one of the latest engines. But won't be enough. I expect more failures before making an MMO worthwhile.
I bet they are upset that a game like Rift is doing okay, without nearly as much invested. It all has to do with good devs and being in touch with the players. BTW, Rift are doing free character transfers... unlike Bliz which rapes the players for such services.

There needs to be more console MMOs. Before anyone is like "You need a keyboard for an MMO!" both the Xbox 360 and PS3 accepts keyboards and wouldn't be a problem for people to spend an extra $20 to get one if a console MMO came out.

Honestly you dont need even need to type if you use voice chat. I mean if all the players in the game were using voicechat then playing on a keyboard wouldnt really matter other than maybe keybindings but most controllers would be easy enough to set up for that to. The problem is most poeple that play mmos relay on text to talk and speak with players so it hinders playing them on a console. I mean even if you buy a keyboard for the xbox 360 or ps3 how many actually have a spot set up where they play there game system at a table or something where they would have a place to put a keyboard for typing.

The fear of most PC users is a console port. Many feel the game with be toned down to be playable on both. Not just with hardware specs, but a gui made for a controller.
The MMO I'm looking forward to is Blade & Soul. Even though I may use a console controller for it, the specs are up there:
[Recommended]
CPU: Intel Quad core/AMD Phenom II X4 or better
RAM: 4G or better
VGA: nVidia Geforce 8800GTX / AMD Radeon HD4850 or better
HDD: 15GB
OS: Windows XP (Service pack 2), Vista, Win7 (64bit)
DirectX: 9.0c
IMO, Recommended specs = Playable. I'll have to upgrade my system before it comes out.
As for MMOs without turn based actions, it will give a huge advantage to those with low latency..alienating a huge base from feeling competitive. And will surely invite speedhacks.

Blade and Soul isn't really an MMO from what people have seen from the beta. Since most of the game is solo play, but there is some interaction with other players.

This.
This is the only MMO I'm looking forward for; RIFT and Guild Wars 2 are a joke compared to it. I've already played Korean retail for a month, but considering it's costs $25 each month to get it through shady gold selling site, I can't keep it up.
