I don't know why this needs to be explained.
Because people get a case of 'the dumb'?

Beyond that?

PS3 has a weaker library than PS2.
Even after nearing nearly 8/9 years.
:/

Costs of production increased, developers went bust, the monopolization by publishers increased, the PC became an easier option particularly with digital distribution, Japan's industry suffered in particularly while mobile gaming became more popular in most of Asia. While the PS3 was a part of the increased cost of production with the glaring mistake of its exotic infrastructure, a slowing of the market and decrease in the number of players became pretty much an eventuality due to a number of factors outside Sony's control.

The PS4 is the fastest selling console in history, it will be in more than enough homes to make producing games for it worth the expense and they've made a concerted effort to make developers comfortable with their system. Even with that the library is never going to be as voluminous as its predecessors - unless you include digital-only games, which I do but many won't - simply because the market isn't the same anymore.

On the other hand, fewer games doesn't mean a weaker library. PS1/PS2 had a serious case of sturgeon's law, and while a lot of crappy games graced the PS3 the absolute dreck had a lot more difficulty seeing the light of day.

Since the PS4 is more similar to PCs than the PS3, it should be able to emulate PS1 and PS2.
Seeing that my mid-range PC can play both PS1 and PS2 games with very high compatibility.

And the only problem then would be loading times since it has to read from the disc.
There is sense in nonsense...Just remove the non...

finally was wondering when there would be an update considering how many the xbox has already had.  With that said I don't really care about any of the updated features...  Preorder downloads is kinda nice though.

thats really not that much power consumption and their assumption is based on some average of what people play.
So who cares really.
Would love to see those numbers on the xb360 and ps3

Well, I see that as a sign of a complete product. You don't need many patches for something that isn't broken.
For one thing, Tiff is not on any level what I would call a typical American.  She's not what I would consider a typical person.  I don't know any other genius geneticist anime-fan martial artist marksman model-level beauties, do you?

While it isn't broken it is missing several features and the main bar on the OS is kinda a mess.

^That's actually great news. If the whole system is profitable we may even get a PS5. Woot! And that probably would be even more worth than PS4.

^Hnm, yeah. No. Not gonna happen. I might expect a 1TB hdd and no SSD in any case. But then again there are at least 6 more years to go, so....

But then again, it's 7 years from now. So a ps5 might equip a custom GPU (again 8-core) based on 14/10nm fab and equivalent to a R9 760/770 (yeah AMD). 1TB HDD is not out of question. Maybe a boot-up type SSD for cache/loading. 16/32gb ram as well, since all games are bringing up higher RAM requirement.

This would easily get a 60fps 1080p capable set, but by six years 4k would be more normal. Hmm. Maybe somewhere around 30-60fps on 1440p res.

Sony’s PlayStation 4 is Already Profitable
holy shit 7 million as of april? Sony's got this. Now just do a price drop! Or give us more games in E3!

I'm so going to get Last of Us PS4. I hope they preview gameplay of that.

I think more games, I mean just because they can make a profit it's not like every aspect of sony is in the black, Shit they still gotta make up for awful sales of the PS3......

The Last Guardian

THAT'S what will get me to buy a PS4.
And not just the 'promise' of it, but an actual fucking box being shown.

More than just that. God of War to continue the story. I want more stuff. Bring it on, Sony!

PS4 vs. PC Watchdog. Small comparison. PC obviously wins.

NO MOAR!
GOD OF WAR!

Enough is enough.
Kratos's story has been 'flushed out' enough.

It's time for a NEW series.
Maybe a PROPER DMC or a better Heavenly Blade or something.
