Gh0st93:
But PlayStation/Sony realizes that there most definitely is a market for it but it's not the entire market. So for the ones that want it they will open it up to them, And give them more abilities and things to do/use.

Sure they did it in different contexts to the X1, e.g. they said the player would want to stay always connected, so they are giving that option to the player. It's all about how you present things^^

There are definite advantages to being always connected. But it should be the developers levering that advantage, so users have an incentive to want to be connected. Not simply forcing it and hoping developers find a use for it later down the line.

Also applies to the Kinect, which still doesn't seem to have a killer app to make it more than a $100 "shout/gesture at your system to do basic tasks" remote.

MOST people are connected 24/7 but thats different then being required too

People don't like being told what they have to do, Especially not when they have to pay for it then find out they don't even control the product and have no choice.

PS4 could be in short supply for up to four months post launch – report

Also, PS4 will support video capture of games over HDMI.

PS4 hardware loss will be recovered at launch via PS Plus subs & launch titles, Sony hopes
