Obviously anything popular must be terrible. ::)

It's possible to enjoy both on their own merits. The hipster angle of hating on FF7 is just as tired as the fanboys obsessing over it.

I love Ni No Kuni, which is popular as hell, but something that are popular...are shit.

I'm a hipster of hipster FF7 hate.
I was hating on FF7 back when I had dial-up.

Ni No Kuni is pretty niche relative to any main series FF game, to be honest.

I think it's perfectly acceptable to allow FF7 to be a decent game even if you happen to prefer FF6. From what I skimmed of the video you linked one thing I noticed (alongside the disabled comments) was the emphasis entirely on story. Which is important in an RPG, certainly. But I think mechanically FF7 at least tried some new stuff, while FF6 was fairly conventional, given it's predecessors. FF7 is hardly the greatest story ever told, but I still like how it played.

Anything interesting on the PS4 PSN yet?

On the 29th, a couple more games come out like Minecraft, War Thunder, and something other games.

Blue light of death seems to be growing. with amazon sitting at 40% of all user feedback with a DOA or shortly after dying with almost all from confirmed buyers. Is it going to be another repeat of RRoD.

Should add since the news broke on BLoD both fan camps have pretty much ruined the amazon stats the last 10 pages or so of the 1 star are non verified and the same with the 5 star.

Though apparently it's still within error margins. Actually it can't be that frequent. Of the people I know that got a PS4, none had a BLoD. Ok, I only know 26 people with a PS4, but it'd still be below 1% if the next person had a BLoD. Oh, well I'm curius what the cause is, since it supposedly is not a heat related issue.

My co-workers brother had a BLoD. I'm still playing with mine. I'm gonna take it for a hard test drive on Thurs and Friday. I did so yesterday for like 2 hours with Killzone. This shit better brick now if it wants to brick.

From what I've read it's not really dependent on how intensive you play, it's more like you either have a defective unit or not. Most testing and review sites had 20 hour sessions without any problems to speak off, and according to Sony support, it MIGHT either be the power cable (can be exchanged with PS3 cable to test), the HDD connectors (can be repaired/checked without voiding the warranty), the HDMI connectors and discrepancies in PS4/TV firmware. Anyway that's their official support stance, who knows what they are trying to cover up by saying they haven't determined the exact problem yet^^

^^ Or all of the above. Seems like a mix as some people are able to do the safe mode reinitialize and get the system to come back but usually ends up dying again a short time later.

Mine better not be DOA, since it's coming across border and all.

If you have a local Sony store, then you can get it fixed/replaced there on the spot (according to a gamespot article). Didn't you live in/near toronto? There should be one there right?

looks like more Issues on the ps4 home front looks like the controller rubber peels of the thumb sticks under minimal play unless them people have sand paper fingers. and trigger buttons are starting to stick already

Honestly either Sony just destroyed all the advantages it had OR they had extreme difficulty coping with demand and outsourced production partially to other companies that built crap (especially since not all controllers are affected)

White = On
Orange = Standby

Blue flashing - something's wrong with the system (if it keeps flashing for 30 seconds or more and there is no screen showing)
white = ps4 is working correctly
orange - standby
flashing red - system overheating, it will shut down afterwards to cool off.

i'm not sure what solid blue is but i think that's when your playing a game online or something? like i played KZ:SF and it was solid blue, forgot if it was the campaign or online.
