It works but not out of the box.
The armor is a very large heatsink that covers every chip, capacitor, etc in the board. Heat generated by all these components are spread out all over the board by the armor instead of being concentrated in certain points. The heat sink is not enough though to dissipate all that heat so a small fan (50mm?) can be connected to the board to provide airflow within the armor.
The problem was with ASUS being a cheapskate and not including a fan that fits in that small area between the CPU and the PCIe slots.
