kitamesume:
if what amd is saying about bulldozers are correct, we`d be seeing 2module bulldozers at the same price as the phenoms, while they're running 50% faster. so assuming that is the truth.

while the standing at stock clocks would be:
speed:------- 95% -------------------> 100% --------------> 150%------------------->160%
Proc: Sandy Bridge i3-2100  -->Phenom II X4 955 -->Bulldozer 2Module--> Sandy Bridge i5 2400

that 10ish% difference in performance against the i5 while being 60-80$ cheaper would be a great asset for AMD. but what if they were to be cheaper? yes please :D

Edit: i wonder if we could unlock them too :D

Edit2: hah, finally a good review about HD6670.
meet the HD6670

kyubixmunky:
there's a sale right now on the amd x4 955 and a cooler master case, So I'll probably buy those 2 this weekend. How are WD caviar green hdd's? There's a 2tb on sale, but I might just wait for a caviar black.

kitamesume:
caviar greens... nope, they're much better be used externally. do note though, read the reviews, about a third of it are bad reviews.

+1 caviar black.

ohh so thats why the phenom 955 was so cheap.

btw, if you arent concerned about performance then sure a phenom can be enough, but like i said in the earlier post, if AMD rumors were true, you`d see a 50% faster bulldozer for the same price.

Update :D

Freedom Kira:
I have a fairly good impression of Caviar Green. However, you must note that they are EARS drives, which use some different kind of formatting (which resulted in these bad reviews that kita mentioned), so you will have to look into that if you intend to utilize the full 2TB (if you ignore it, I think you only get 1.4TB or something). They are also designed to spin down during long idle periods to conserve energy, so their response time is a bit slow at times. Definitely do not use one as a boot drive. Otherwise, for storage that you access infrequently and don't need fast response times for, it's pretty good. 64MB cache is relatively decent, as most HDD caches these days are 32MB or 64MB.

I probably shouldn't recommend a drive I've never used before, but meh. Just want to throw that out there, since I've done a bit of reading on them and most people haven't.

Do read reviews, and pay no heed to those that complain about the lack of space, which take up a good chunk of the bad reviews. As per usual when looking at HDD reviews, also ignore DOA reports and such, as shipping is not always smooth and DOAs will occur here and there no matter how well the drives are packaged.

kitamesume:
small tips on how to read the review:
DOA arrivals : pay no attention except if 30% or more of the complains is DOA.
case : the complains you should pay attention to is if motherboard fits and durable. ignore fan complains. psu complains if you're planning to use the included psu. sharp edges is another thing. case flimsiness is abit worrying.
hdd : dead after # of days used. ignore formatted capacity complains, speed complains isnt much an issue.
ram : error complains is a priority. stock speed, including latency settings complains like they wouldnt reach the product spec and instability at stock speed is a priority, capacity complains is another thing. ignore complains about "it wouldnt overclock".
Proc : error and instability at stock speed is a priority. overclocking failure isnt much of an issue. ignore reviews that doesnt make sense.
motherboard : dead after # of days used. RAID complains arent much of an issue. wouldn't boot is abit of a priority unless the cause is negligence.
Video Card : artifacts at stock speed is a priority. cooling complains is another thing. ignore "it wouldn't overclock".
HSF : effectiveness is a priority, leaks on liquid type is a priority. complains about "dead fans" isnt much of an issue.
