EDIT: and with the choice between the 955 and 2100:

* 2100 uses less power
* but 955 has way better oc headroom
* 2100 will perform better for most programs
* but the 955 will win out with a multicore program
* they're both priced fairly similarly
* but amd mobo are cheaper

ya forgot i3 has quick sync that can be used even with a discrete gpu via lucid software on H61/H67/Z68 boards.
overclocking the 955 doesnt really give much of a gap against the i3-2100.
the motherboards doesnt have much of a price difference, cheapest AM3(dead end) boards are at 50$ while H61(ivy should be able to run on it according to rumors) boards are at 60$, do note bulldozer needs AM3+ that starts at 65$.
plus he already has his eyes on bulldozer, should be more bang for the buck right? its in between a phenom and a SNB i5 with the price of a phenom.

ohh and have you heard what HD6670 has that the HD5xxx doesnt? meet the HD6670. and its a 70Watts card that idles for as low as 15Watts.

--- Quote ---Multi-monitor usage

All three of the outputs on the SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6670 are usable.  If you want to use three displays though, you’ll either need a monitor with a DisplayPort input or a converter.  Eyefinity is supported, so treating your multiple display setup as a single large surface is possible.

As an everyday graphics card, the Radeon HD 6670 is great for multiple displays. Driving all three displays is a very simple thing to set up, and creating an Eyefinity group is just as simple thanks to the Catalyst Control Center. At first I had an issue with maximizing a window…it filled the entire single logical display. In my case, this meant Firefox expanded to 5040×1050. No big deal though—HydraVision (one of the included tools in the Catalyst Control Center) contains many controls to customize the behavior of window management, which quickly resolved the maximizing issue.

But what about gaming?  I was surprised to see 1920×1080 playable on this card.  Surely Eyefinity gaming isn’t possible.  I sat in stunned silence as I was proven wrong.  Three games were tested on Eyefinity: Batman: Arkham Asylum, H.A.W.X. 2, and Crysis: Warhead.  All were tested at 5040×1050 at their lowest settings just to see what happens.

Batman: Arkham Asylum – 37/74/59 fps (min/max/avg)

H.A.W.X. 2: 26/48 fps (avg/max)

Crysis: Warhead: 27/48/40 fps (min/max/avg)

Yep.  Eyefinity gaming is possible.  My mind is blown.

i've looked for Q/A about HD 5770 being able to game with eyefinity but all of them said "no, get a HD 5850."

It's an efficient, low powered card, but would you seriously use that for graphics works and/or gaming? No, I doubt anyone would.
Bottom line is that op wants something for anime + gaming + some graphic work. If It was anime only I'd say screw even having a gpu, go with the hd2000 if you really care about power consumption.
For anything that requires a bit of gpu grunt I never go below 5770/460 unless there are specific requirements my client needs.

I dunno about waiting cause there is always new hardware in the horizon, and the fact that bulldozer has been pushed back a few times isnt very promising. Also no matter how much speculation there is about pricing/performance you wont really know until its out.

115 GB SSD for $170 w/ promo code EMCYTZT528 for ~48 hours.  It's SATA II, but would still saturate your mobo throughput for all practical purposes for this build.

5040x1050 resolution on the HD6670 and gets 40fps average on crysis.
the pricing is based on AMD's promise of 50% more performance and the more cores, less cash.  and yea true, its pissing me off too, if AMD pushes it by 2 more months, screw waiting and i`ll go buy an SNB i5 instead or maybe i`d just wait for ivy bridge. should be way better than bulldozer.

@datora

meh you missed the 60gb Vertex2 for 100$ sale.
btw your link leads to a 190$ SSD. or do you mean 190$ - 20$(promo code)?

vuzedome:
low settings with that much screen, no thanks, seriously, if eyefinity or whatever nvidia calls theirs is your choice, get something beefier.
