;D meh, the HD6670 isnt meant to be a top dog that can crunch ultra res, its a budget card that can game pretty decently. too bad the newly released HD6770 is a rebrand or i`d be suggesting that instead.
ohh yea, i could play crysis @ 1920x1080 on my 9500GT with custom settings, majority was set to medium. average fps was 30 :D well it was fun testing out how it`ll handle it.

@raandomer

ok, I'll put it in even simplier terms, for 10 bucks you get 70~100% more performance, what would be your choice?

meh, nothing really interesting in the "new" releases, the only thing that was worth trying was the 6990 xfire with 6970. Damn that combo was a beast, its a shame I had to offload but the vsync tearing was a bit too off putting.

Now back ontrack, if op is in no hurry I guess you can wait it out and hope it gets launched without any hitches.
Also how strict is the budget, cause for 900 i reckon you might be able squeeze in a 2500k coupled with a 6950. I just recently managed to get a 2500k + asrock ext4 + 6950 rig up (though couldnt quite fit an ssd in) for 800 and I'm in australia where all the prices are inflated like no tomorrow.

he wanted:
CPU
MoBo
RAM
GPU
HDD
SSD
CASE
PSU

for strictly under 800$.

considering the SSD is taking about 1/8th of that budget, hes left with 700$ for the other parts.

you want something with meat?

This just sold out at newegg.  It was a Shell Shocker for about 2 hours; normally $145, but they just liquidated their stock on this item @$90 each delivered.  Is a spanking fine SSD.

Just a reminder to check newegg front page about three times a day.  Usually two deals every day, one morning one evening (U.S. Pacific coast time).  But, when one sells out fast, they sometimes put up a third.

[ EDIT:  Also on special right now:
