Minecraft is going to Xbox 360

This winter, Minecraft is going to be on Xbox 360 and will be connect enabled. No sources except the fact that they announced it at the Microsoft E3 conference.

What will this bring to Minecraft? Does this mean the official game will be released for the PC as well?

Yeah, we all own beta already. I bought it back during 1.2 or something like that. When it was $15. Still, not much will be different except I can call it the official game.

The xbox 360 version will be horrible compared to the PC version, though. One of the reasons being that they can't update the game very often.

Update? What are you talking about?

I would say maybe 20% of the people who play Minecraft DON'T have user created mods. I understand, I played the game without mods for 2+ months and had a blast. The thing is, once I discovered the wealth of mods, I was in heaven. The 360 version could never get all that content unless it went onto Xbox Live. Either way, I think it's a good way to spread the culture of Minecraft to even casual gamers on the Xbox 360. Surely this will be downloadable and not a full retail disc.
