Kamisama no Memo-Chou | Notepad of God
craselios:
maybe it depends on the translator :-\ anyway I won't watch anything from them anymore :)
can some1 gimme a list of good and bad fansub groups ;)
+
the english name is "note of god" or "It's the Only NEET Thing to Do" ??
Havoc10K:
You should remember that they sometimes give direct translation in the show, which means complete shit ass like in episode 4 of Hidan no Aria IIRC, each and every word was word to word translated in the same order making it even more hilarious, although GG did make a few good releases, as mentioned above, Durarara! and Madoka were pretty good, but that's 2 shows out of past 4 years of their releases, which is pretty pathetic.
Good fansubs are :
Ayako
Doki (90% of the time)
UTW (nearly always)
Mazui (nearly always)
Chihiro (cuz I like Kristen :) and Chihiro are good in overall)
EveTaku (sometimes)
Ahodomo (new with very good translations)
and more
the bad are actually the ones that seriously don't give a damn, like GG
oh and HorribleSubs are no fansubbing group, they only rip from CR and Funi. their releases are usually good, but the subs quality completely depends on CR/Funi quality.
oh I have to mention as BAD group Eclipse, because they ceased activity, that is the only reason why they are bad XD
Xyresic:
gg isn't a bad fansub group, they're just fags.
IIRC most gg stuff I watched weren't terribad, many being decent -> good, but when they do troll, they troll hard.
Of course, given that Aria being the first gg troll I have seen, my opinion might be distorted a bit, since I honestly thought that show shouldn't have been made.
Havoc10K:
EveTaku picked this up, if no other group is going to pick up this show I will follow them, gg is not a must, and I have been bearing with gg for many shows and endured their trolling in the shows or on their website.
I simply had enough and Aria was the last straw, even if the show was bad, it's not a reason to utterly crap the subs all over, many subbing group simply drop shows when they become unbearable, saves up a lot of stress and doesn't damage reputation.
Heh, I know the seriousness of this show, and yet I couldn't stop laughing :D
This is gonna be entertaining :)
Lord of Fire:
I think gg did okay with this episode. No excessive trolling, no commercials they left in and (from what I could see) a proper translation. Of course, that could change over the next few weeks if this show starts becoming boring to them, so I'll check EveTaku's version later.
Anyway, this show looks promising. I assume the humor is there to offset the more serious undertone, but it worked for me anyway.
