let's just say if you predicted stuff like X really was Y the whole time then I can safely say "it was predictable".
If you didn't, then "It had a cliche ending of enemies suddenly fighting together without properly developing the
reason" would do.

A letdown. Nothing really interesting here, and the premises reminds a little of Gosick. The explanations are even more farfetched. Speculation if you wish.

quick question. Anyone checked out the new UTW release of this? I read the TL from GG is doing the work for UTW now. I was just wondering if it was re-edited since from what i heard the GG version was pretty bad.

The series sounded interesting so i figured id check it out. Just wasnt sure if i should go with the evetaku v2 release, or the new UTW one. I guess i can check both but this episode is 45 mins long o_O Im assuming most of you just went with the Evetaku version?

Well, I can only disagree about the characters.

I downloaded both, but I liked UTW more. Better flow.

For example around 5 min mark:
UTW: You dont really stand out much, do you?
Evetaku: You certainly have a weak presence.

Although word for word Evataku is more correct, UTW conveys the same meaning with better flow.

Both should suffice in any case.

This isn't an eroge, you're allowed to make your protagonists have CHARACTER. PERSONALITY.

I think I like Gosick better. But then, with all the great shows this season, this one will probably get put on the backburner.

With MORE violent retribution for accidental infringement!!!!!!!!!

Also, why is the protagonist's cell phone SO FUCKING ANNOYING?!?! It's an OBNOXIOUSLY loud guitar riff.

Anyways, pretty mediocre episode imo. Just the first half of a case in an episodic case anime. My guess is there will be minor character insights as we go with some penultimate case at the end involving the group.

My thoughts exactly. Of course the generic protagonist is like that so all the boys can envision themselves as him (at least that's the theory) and because then the other male characters only need one quirk instead of complex characters and backstories.

*sigh* It seems the anime makers have jumped on the bandwagon of detective series and won't let go. Add loli, stir, make money. Wasn't there a time when there were really good anime? Like ... 5 or so years ago? Really, really good anime? With strong, unique male and female leads? Complex characterisations? Interesting plots? Great action? *whine whine whine and cheesu*
