Well, personally I don't watch TV, but I know that the smart TVs out there have all the functions Xbox offers and some more. They even connect to internet already. So what you are getting here are overlapping services.

That is somewhat true. But smart tv lacks the options to overlay there smart apps onto of video. Most smart tv's behave in separate modes. you watch tv but then you have to launch the smart services and lose all tv. At least its how both my Samsung and Panasonic operate. What xbox can bring is seamless tv with apps. The HDMI in port on the xbox takes your standard tv video from your dvr and then can layer other things on top of it. And with HDMI CEC everything would still use just one controller. Smart tv's have came a long ways but they are still clunky to use sometimes. I really think this is the last generation of stand alone consoles as you say smart tv's are getting more and more built in and more and more offloading is done to a cloud systems. PlayStation already said the ps4 is not backwards compatible but they are looking to bring ps3 games onto a cloud for a cloud gaming service to play old ps3 games on the ps4. so they are getting there cloud based gaming system lined up. Xbox also mentioned a similar aspect that they can offload some of the computing power to there cloud. so while they are not bringing full games over they plan to do some offload computing with it.

So are you just fan boying? Or do you actually think there's logic to the things you're saying?
I mean, no judgement from me until it comes out, maybe Microsoft will smash it, but the features they HAVE announced have been disappointing.

Good luck with Xbox One ... and to anyone who wants to purchase it. Let us hope Microsoft does the right choice and reverses those retarded features.

What feature dont you like and why everyone just says I hate that I hate that with no reason. And explain if you are a person that unplugs there xbox after each use. or just thought of not being able to unplug is what gets you.

New Report. It's not a rumor. Enjoy.
You haven't been following this thread, have you? Because you wouldn't ask this question in the first place.

35 pounds? :o That bullshit. I haven't purchased a game for that much money in...well the last console game I bought back in spring 2010. In any case, that's insane.
And yes, I'm guessing he's a fan boy.
By the way, my internet has been up and down for the past few days (more down than up) and so yeah, XB1 can such my dick.
By the way, for those who haven't heard any news and are too lazy to read anything, below is a summary of the XB1:

newy:
Downwards incompatibility is also quite peculiar since their marketing bullshit praises the X1 as a system that lets you to do everything, "All your entertainment, All in One." But where are the old games, huh?
