Nikkoru:
It's quite easy to Skype while watching TV using a tablet, smartphone, or laptop if you're so inclined. There's really nothing here that's innovative whatsoever, except possibly in the gaming... which they didn't show.

The problem with them wanting to crack the non-gamer market is that Nintendo won that race. And they won it harrrrrrd.
ThePlaneJet:
Nintendo is gdlk. I'm waiting for E3 to see what the companies have to offer in the coming year of gaming. It's pretty close now.

Which is kinda sad.

couple what he said with another one that you didnt respond or comment on, which is kinda in relation to the used game market. But basically you cant borrow friends games. Your friend has to log into their profile for you to play their game. This IMO is absurd, the content lock on this console will be its death if sony doesnt copy the ideas.
Always on im not a fan of, primarily because i shouldnt have to ocnnect to the internet to play an offline single player game that i purchased in the store. Things like this will be detrimental to people who like to bring their console on the road with them to places they have a tv but no internet. Its not unheard of for there to be tvs and not internet around. I feel like the concept that my console is a computer mounted under my tv is a silly idea. Its supposed to let me play games everything else is just bonus.
The used game market being made obsolete another big mistake that will cause the console to have a much shorter shelf life. As if i couldnt go to the store and pick up cool games from a year ago for 40$ less then originally priced i would buy almost zero games, because every game out there is literally a crap shoot as to whether im wasting 60$ or not more often than not.
Microsoft is making a big mistake in going along with what companies like EA want in doing most of the licensing shit, and bowing their heads to developers will be their end if sony takes the high road
