They are only approximations and by no means are to be taken for granted. It's just to show that AMD has quite a lot of production facilities by itself.
Gh0st93:
It's not just about what AMD can produce it depends on everyone in the supply chain, and without knowing this it's hard to give a truly accurate statement. As far as which markets well I don't think it'd be the easiest thing know because we have people here from around the world so we know what we see first hand the best normally, And I don't think they are just publishing charts on who has what globally. The biggest problem with all of this argument is that there's not a lot of numbers going around on the subject and the few we see are a lot of speculation. (this is last part is speaking more to the PS4 v.s. Xbox One sales figures.)

While we are talking in context of consoles, I still edited your quote for accuracy before someone misunderstands and starts a shitstorm about Asia being the biggest overall video game market.

Actually You made the context wrong now. The USA is the biggest game market with everything include in the world While Asia has gained a huge number of sales and still tops the charts In online mmorpg. The USA as a whole spends more. totallying consoles, mobile,pc here is most revent sale report I can find http://www.emailwire.com/release/110681-Americans-Continue-to-Play-Most-Video-Games-Per-Capita-Reports-Animal-Jam-Codes.html

Funny how now that I need it, I can't find that article where they calculated arcade games, free to play revenues and other factors that are usually ignored when evaluating the market. Also it doesn't help much that Valve hides the transactions through it's channels.
There is an interesting trend observed, though. That for example Germany, Russia, China and Korea are among those PC master race countries, so measuring market there is difficult. But with the traditional console transactions we know very well which country is the casual CoD kid. ;D

^^ Ye I think the difference is how each country plays. Asia is a very dedicated gaming region. They buy one game and can play it for years mostly the MMPORG. So there revenue coming is is low compared to the number of gamers. Where people in the USA have more adhd when it comes to game and buys them like candy switching games every couple weeks/months
