Some games with where items or characters can evolve certain player chosen traits.
Ive a few times picked routes with out investigating what ones are best for how I play the game or for that type of character and end up stuck with a sub-par set up.

Basically, spending advancement points on the wrong skills are the only instances I can think of that I may have felt regret for.

Speaking of Fable, that was a game where I played the bad route on purpose after one initial decision. I chose to brag about how I would kill every enemy in the arena, and then they threw that girl from the beginning of the game at me. I considered it for about a minute, and then killed her, after that I took every evil choice I could.

Yeah, that was a hard ass choice :D
You killed your sister too :D
That was the hardest for me when I played the evil route, I really liked Theresa, such an awesome character.

Btw, as an offtopic or maybe not, likely not just curious.
A question to all those that play/played AMR/AMA

I would go around, no matter how evil route I would play :D

If Alice Liddell was a character in some other game and you had a choice to save the world by killing her or going a wholeshit harder road, what would you do ?
Condition: Alice Liddell doesn't join your efforts but you can talk to her on occasion during the game if you spare her life.

I would go around, no matter how evil route I would play :D
Bit confused, are you providing two alternatives you can choose from to save the world, or do you save the world only in the first scenario? I'd probably go for the latter just for the extra dialog and different story, either way. I have much less problem destroying the entire world than I do making a girl cry. XD

It's the whole "kill one you're a murderer, kill a million you're a hero" thing, I suspect. ...okay, maybe it's really just "out of sight, out of mind". ::)

Yep, I killed my sister, too. After that one really evil choice in the arena I figured "in for a penny, in for a pound". I also put on that mask that made its wearer even more evil. It's a wonder the guild of heroes or what it was called doesn't send a commando unit after you to kill you at that point. If you take that route you're pretty much evil incarnate walking around, and powerful enough to do pretty much anything you want, to force people to do anything you want them to, because you'd be able to inflict a much worse fate upon them if they refuse.

Knowing Alice, both choices are incorrect actually, she would have you dead before you even tried :D
Although, as much as Evil I can be in games, I wouldn't dare doing harm to this girl, I would be able to kill billions, but not her, I could actually worship her along with Ika Musume.

But yeah, I didn't want to kill Theresa, it was hard, but as an evil overlord, I had no choice.

Sweet. Probably just grab it from Steam, then.

I know nothing about Fable I past maybe 10% in. I own all three, but I've only beaten II and gotten 90% of the way through III.
/wait, I thought Theresa doesn't show up until II, isn't...

Which one is actually being discussed?

As for the guild, when I started playing I was under the impression that heroes can be good or evil, and the guild doesn't much care. It's been awhile, though.

In my opinion by default Theresa lives, and becomes some sort of a prophet, didn't play fable 2 cuz it's asshole XboX exclusive, yes she is the original hero's sister, and yes, the guild doesn't really care about how the hero is doing as long as he doesn't endanger the guild itself, and in Fable one the original hero had to decide the fate of one of the older hero's that went bad, you get to kill or spare Twinblade's life.

Funniest thing in Fable on was I went to fight Twinblade while being completely obese, Assassin's rush in obese is funny XD

games like that teach you how to be good, and how to be a bastard, so you can choose your route in real life a little bit better :D

I feel bad when the games make it like...an incredibly evil act.  For example, save the kitten? Or, blow it to pieces and then bathe in it's blood?

Yeah i feel bad when I'm covered in kitten blood!

The games that aren't that ridiculous about it though...well I normally go the true neutral route.  I'll go on that quest to save your daughter, but I'll kill half the town on my way there ;)
Huh?

Yeah, I can't ever take the evil path.  I tried in Fallout games etc.  I do it for a little bit and feel guilty haha

You had a whole year specifically playing WoW? You do realize you only got about 70-90 of those years in your life. I would at least want to think that I can one day have enough sex to fill a week... but sadly.. it's at like 2-3 hours right now of total sexy time... >.>

Alright my opinion has changed....greatly, I DON'T feel a thing if I make a wrong choice but get pissed since it lead to a bad end and I wasted my time and have to start back from last choice.

*dang, mitgun when did you become so heartless
