What single malt would you introduce to a person who never drank scotch?

pingryanime:
I just grab whatever's in my dad's cabinet.

*totally not underage*

TMRNetShark:
Just because it's not made in Scotland doesn't mean it's not good. Getting a Scotch just because it's a Scotch is stupid when there are other whiskeys and bourbons that are just as good that are made in the USA. Anyone who thinks "Scotch" is the best clearly has a narrow minded view on what liquors are out there or only go for the name or where it's made.

EDIT: if you really MUST have a scotch whiskey... Laphroaig Quarter Cask is the best OF SCOTLAND. The best that you are gonna get in America though is Maker's Mark... but it's wildly expensive.

I used to love vodka, but then I got sick on it and now I can't drink anything strong anymore. Gives me nausea

fohfoh:
A Glenfiddish water mix?

Is that even a single malt?

Is this person the type that consumes hard liquor? Or mainly the lower end like beers, wines, cocktails etc.

If this person isn't able to handle hard liquor as easily, I suggest a water mix with ice.
If this person is able to handle the taste of hard liquor, room temp is the way to go.

EDIT: Looked it up, Glenfiddish is the only brand I even remotely have an impression on, at least for the single malts.

lol, theres a whole crate of assorted wine and liquor at the stock room, so whatever is opened then i drink.

i like the beef jerkey in there :D and no, its just a giant fridge, the usual small fridge cant hold big bottles of juice so dad made a custom fridge out of the spare room.
