Wikipedia. More information can be found on here. Total Eclipse doesn't mention neither Mitsurugi Meiya nor Hayase Mitsuki so the picture is indeed wrong. I'm thinking it's the two girls with very bright purple hair. I'll look into it later in the day.

KgNE characters are only in the fifth spoilered picture.

No. You go to the "character" list and look over Total Eclipse. There is no spoilers what-so-ever. If you head over to the history and plot then of course you'll be spoiled.

This is a side story, it should be unrelated to Muv-Luv Alternative. Check the following image for more info (spoilered because of the size, it does not spoil anything).

Muv-Luv Extra, Unlimited and Alternative are translated. Muv-Luv Alternative is the highest rated visual novel in both VNDB and EroGameScape (japanese equivalent of VNDB), so I really don't see much reason for anyone to skip these. Not much reason to spoil the events of Alternative either, when it's available in english.
