I would so much like for her to do a mock battle in that training machine just to show that her experience is not baseless and her claims are just.
It would be a good turning point, crushing his ego like that. Would be kind of nice to see.
There is just too little compared to the two first eps. If it doesn't go back to that kind of style, there really is no worth in the show, because when you show the best at the start, it's just not worth anymore. This needs to get back on it's tracks.

Partly, but she exhibits the flip-side of racist thinking -- racial pride -- albeit in response to his petulance. It's just as stupid for her, or the stereotypical soviet torturers, to judge him based on his Japanese heritage given that he is an American. As he claimed several times quite loudly. This presumption is based on the belief that social and personal traits are influenced by one's genetic ancestry, which racists believe about themselves just as much as they use it against others. Her expectations seem to be influenced considerably by the fact that he's a "half", and that he doesn't share her pride.
To be fair, the subtitles used might have chosen her words awkwardly.
