Cool point and click adventure games.
« on: June 17, 2011, 08:33:49 PM »
I'm looking for some. Classic, new, doesn't matter.
I do prefer however if the game doesn't force me to start from the beginning just because I didn't pick or did something at the start, but name them anyway. Just like that game "The Adventures of Willy Beamish" that game was friggin frustrating.

Games I've already played:
The monkey island games.
Day of the tentacle.
Loom.
The Adventures of Willy Beamish.
Broken sword. First two games.

Know any games I could play?

The Next Big Hit. I'm not a fan of them, but this one even managed to attract me.

Cool! I think I saw that skeleton in one of the Monkey Island games.

The Next Big Hit. I'm not a fan of them, but this one even managed to attract me.
Couldn't find it. Unless you mean The Next Big Thing

Recommended!

Also:
Sam & Max (There is a classic one from Lucas Arts, and then the new series from Telltale Games)

Have you played the new Monkey Island games from Tell Tale Games as well?
I can recommend more or less all games from Tell Tale Games http://www.telltalegames.com/
The new Monkey island, new Sam and Max, Wallance and Gromit, Back to the Future etc.

The Longest Journey - One of the best adventure games ever made, the followup Dreamfall is not as good but worth playing.

Zak Mckracken and the Alien Mindbenders - Classic Lucas Art adventure

So Blond - Could be described as a Monkey Island parody, expect things like blond/brunette joke fights and making the perfect mocha coffee.

The Experiment - A different take to the adventure genre. You see the whole game through security cameras and control the character by turning on and off lights to tell her where to go. Very well executed and an interesting story.
Memories are meant to fade. They're designed that way for a reason.

Thanks guys, Imma go on a classic gaming spree now. I'm sick of anime anyways. Gonna rewatch Mirai Shounen Conan while I finish downloading ;D

Machinarium is pretty good, and anything by Telltale Games is worth a play.

Anyone remember a game about young wizard apprentice or something? I think I had the demo once. It was relatively new too.

If you are up for a challenge: Chronomaster (plot written by one of my favorite authors, Roger Zelazny) - high level of difficulty, but high on coolness and bizarreness.

An oldie: The Pawn

Also, Mysterious Journey and Mysterious Journey II are quite intriguing with some rather challenging puzzles and great artwork.

Oh, and, Zork: The Grand Inquisitor is quite entertaining... lots of wit and humour.

There a lot of classic games from Sierra that you might want to look into like
King's Quest, Space Quest, Police Quest and Phantasmagoria

Forgot about this one, somewhat newer game
although I haven't played it: A Vampyre story.

Discworld? I remember a discworld point and click where you controlled Rincewind.

This. Play them all. They're all good and have their own charm. Some have remakes so you might want to check them out.
