Same for most other game delivery platforms on the internet. That does put a big "unknown" area on the numbers and statistics, since PC games sell like hot cupcakes on Steam while the local shops are removing PC games sections all together because they lost customers to Steam.

It's "unclear" whether Battlefield 3 will be on Steam. As of right now, Battlefield 3 is only on Origins.

Per the online platform battle for full title PC games (casual facebook has won, for now). If Origin fails (again), then it will come to steam in a while, doubt it will get a steam version until they give up on their online platform, again.

BULLSHIT!!!!  ;D

--- Quote ---We are intent on providing Battlefield 3 players with the best possible experience no matter where they purchase or play their game, and are happy to partner with any download service that does not restrict our ability to connect directly with our consumers. We hope to work out an agreement where Steam can carry Battlefield 3; meanwhile, gamers can pick from the more than 100 digital retailers listed at http://www.battlefield.com/digitaldownload, or go to http://www.origin.com.

I will most likely get mine on Impulse. No, but seriously people, this is not just me arguing with Tamarin, here is some useful information for you folks, as that list shows retailers in individual countries outside US as well, check it out:

Oh my! I got blinksided there. At least I got one part of that right (that it isn't on Steam).  8)

Honestly I still fear that we will have to install origin either way to play the game, like with Half Life 2 that needs Steam.

I remember using Steam when Half Life 2 first came out... wasn't that big of a deal. I understand that EA is trying to get a piece of Steam's online market share, but I'm not convinced that it will be the same as steam (in terms of taking away computer resources).
