MAG did 256 on console. PlanetSide did 399 on PC. I recall some other game did a very high number as well. Most games go for graphics, physics and effects over player amount now a days though. :/Oh and it has prone, the best feature in any slow FPS as the BF series is.MAG was done on the PS3 dude. I'd laugh if the 360 can do the same exact thing in terms of everything (graphics, physics, terrain, etc) and still be able to load 256 players on one map.Does the PS3 actually load everything though, it only has 512mb of RAM.

I have would assume they would load everything though seeing as if you die, you gotta respawn automatically on the other side of the map.

If you have a countdown after you die and no death-cam they can use that timer to load the spawning area, no need to have it fully saved.

I'm thinking they'll have vehicles/player models/etc installed on the hard drive of the console while the maps will stream from the disc. Make senses, doesn't it?
There must a be a reason for tanking things. And all must be in certain balance. But what that balance is, must depend only on you, nobody else.

A defibrillator resets the heart, not restart it. You can't shock someone who was shot in the balls back to life. I know it's just a game, but I can't stand this BS in games and movies.

If you make something too realistic, you tend to not have fun with it.

It's like a HK416 that shoots positron plasma balls.
