Facelog?  ;)
For one thing, Tiff is not on any level what I would call a typical American.  She's not what I would consider a typical person.  I don't know any other genius geneticist anime-fan martial artist marksman model-level beauties, do you?

I mean, I'm not AS antsy about Battlelog... but I always have to use the server browser to find a good 64 player map with low ping. Other than that, proper filters gets me into a game of rush/conquest quite fast.

PP2000 all the way!

Singleplayer?

Man, this game has several bugs in singleplayer. The mission "Comrades" started with me being in the backseat and the car driving itself magically. I thought "what the fuck? this supposed to happen?" Then a few checkpoints later I can't advance since one of my buddies is invisible. I've done quite the hash check. Maybe I got this installed on a bad sector which keeps fucking up? Then I get to one of the final points in the game and I am beating up an invisible guy. Oh man, time to hash check once again. Plus Origin is annoying since it takes so fucking long to launch.

I don't think this is due to me having a lousy laptop. 800xsomething with all settings on low. It still looks good, but I was kind of expecting more due to my (albeit short) experience with the open beta. 1024xsomething would be nice. Audio is cracking up a bit too much.

Story is all right, it's got some nice set-pieces which would be spetacular with a proper rig. I honestly got a bit bored halfway through but the finale is quite captivating to be expected. I like Call of Duty's hollywood style better. It at least retains my attention better.

Finally got one copy myself.

After playing the release version, I must conclude: it's a mediocre game with a bad UI design and an overkill bloom.

I am not getting the same "holy shit this is awesome" feeling like when I tried BF2 for the first time. It's a more or less decent game that I can play while taking a break from other awesome games.

I think the game will be better next year when they have patched it a few times =P

Yeah, no kidding. I'm like... "OMG, my eyes! It's so overwhelmingly pretty that it hurts!" XD

(click to show/hide)

You forgot to add in the water droplet specs along with the light flares. XD

This is only really bad in the campaign though. The only annoying bloom/flare effects in the multiplayer is the flashlights (where it actually adds a gameplay element of blinding you in dark areas).

Hahahahaha! So true. However extreme bloom was advertised on the game cover so we can't complain.  ;D

Also there is a way to play Battlefield 3 without Origin... thanks to Razor 1911.

Anyway, I disabled the motion blur and "removed" a lot of hidable shadows by lowering those settings, now I will wait until someone finds a file where the settings can be disabled.

Yeah I saw that crack a while ago but waiting on others to try it first, wouldnt surprise me if EA would try and ban those who use it even if you have to buy the game to play multiplayer =p

I like the website you linked... "Steamunpowered." XD

Not shocked by this at all. I was expecting Razor to figure it out sooner though!

The Flashlight is the crappiest thing ever. It even blinds on maps like Caspian Border or Operation Firestorm... Totally stupid...

I think its a decent idea but right now they are fucked up, flashlights and lazer sights should not blind allies...

Very true.

And they should do something about the cowardly Supports using the mortar from the basecamp... as annoying as the Recon with artillery in BC2... although the Support is a lot more annoying, the Recon had to at least be on the battlefield.

Really? Don't camp then. If a mortar is killing you, keep moving from cover to cover and take out the mortar. It's easy to track the smoke trails (unlike how annoying it is when people don't use scopes on the Mod 11 or SVD  ::))
