After playing the release version, I must conclude: it's a mediocre game with a bad UI design and an overkill bloom.

I am not getting the same "holy shit this is awesome" feeling like when I tried BF2 for the first time. It's a more or less decent game that I can play while taking a break from other awesome games.

Yeah, no kidding. I'm like... "OMG, my eyes! It's so overwhelmingly pretty that it hurts!" XD

You forgot to add in the water droplet specs along with the light flares. XD

This is only really bad in the campaign though. The only annoying bloom/flare effects in the multiplayer is the flashlights (where it actually adds a gameplay element of blinding you in dark areas).

AceHigh:
Hahahahaha! So true. However extreme bloom was advertised on the game cover so we can't complain.  ;D

Also there is a way to play Battlefield 3 without Origin... thanks to Razor 1911.

Anyway, I disabled the motion blur and "removed" a lot of hidable shadows by lowering those settings, now I will wait until someone finds a file where the settings can be disabled.

Muk666:
Yeah I saw that crack a while ago but waiting on others to try it first, wouldnt surprise me if EA would try and ban those who use it even if you have to buy the game to play multiplayer =p
