128 players in one map... that would be epic.

MAG did 256 on console. PlanetSide did 399 on PC. I recall some other game did a very high number as well. Most games go for graphics, physics and effects over player amount now a days though. :/

Oh and it has prone, the best feature in any slow FPS as the BF series is.
MAG was done on the PS3 dude. I'd laugh if the 360 can do the same exact thing in terms of everything (graphics, physics, terrain, etc) and still be able to load 256 players on one map.

Does the PS3 actually load everything though, it only has 512mb of RAM.

Not even buddy. 256 MBs of VRAM and 256 MBs or System RAM. I have would assume they would load everything though seeing as if you die, you gotta respawn automatically on the other side of the map.

If you have a countdown after you die and no death-cam they can use that timer to load the spawning area, no need to have it fully saved.

So have the maps load ala GTA4? It would definitely work. I'm thinking they'll have vehicles/player models/etc installed on the hard drive of the console while the maps will stream from the disc. Make senses, doesn't it?

Yes.  Or they use low quality textures for things that are far away.

There must a be a reason for tanking things. And all must be in certain balance.
But what that balance is, must depend only on you, nobody else.

Hmm, I suppose Assault having defib is pretty practical.

I agree, one of the worst things about BC2 was assault sitting somewhere spamming grenades =P

I hope they do something to the recon class so people will play them more on the front lines, I hate snipers in BC2 because 90% them suck and they just camp somewhere when the recon class is best close to the fighting with motion mines.

What they did in BC2 was pretty good. They made it so snipers were useful in close combat with motion mines and fast scopes or shotguns. There is still a need for a spotter or long range sniper covering certain spots depending on the map layout.

The only real way to limit the usefulness of snipers is to have short visibility and plenty of cover on maps designed for infantry combat. On the vehicle maps snipers is a non issue since the class isn't good enough (unless you have c4 or similar explosives to mine with) the rifles themselves won't score that many kills.

I agree i was happy to hear this it does make sense although the one class will have ammo plus health which will make them a must and a heavily used class unless they make it so you choose ammo or health.

A defibrillator resets the heart, not restart it. You can't shock someone who was shot in the balls back to life. I know it's just a game, but I can't stand this BS in games and movies.
All you have to do is study it out. Just study it out.

Then it wouldn't be a game or movie... but a simulator of real life. If you make something too realistic, you tend to not have fun with it.

Healing magic, Asgard nanobots or alien slime. Less absurd than a magical defibrillator/syringe. It's like a HK416 that shoots positron plasma balls.

Eww.  A dedicated medic is what's needed.  And not like the medics in BFBC

Give medic an pistol or smg so that they cannot operate like commandos.

Yeah, I always kinda found the LMG carrying medic odd.

In BF2, medics only had a regular M16 ("A-" fucking whatever number) while the Soldier class had the M16's with the grenade launchers if I'm not mistaken. I also thought it was weird to have medics who had to carry health packs AND belts of ammo.

Yeah, I think it's been just in the BFBCs, but it's still odd.

Did anybody else get into the alpha test? (I had three BF titles connected to my EA account.) Since they said there was a limited amount of spots I skipped the EULA and don't know if it has a NDA, so won't say anything.
