I tend to be overcautious so that I won't look like a n00b. Also, I still have some 4chan withdrawal symptoms... sometimes I want to say/post something really bad but I have to abstain because my brain says 'wtf r u doing, this is not /b/'; but there's always that part that says 'DO IT FAGGOT!', and it's hard to not give in to it... so sometimes I make a fool of myself, or annoy people. feels bad man.

I do that a lot and everyone just lulzes for it.. i just LOVE to troll people..

My n00b days of BBT (back when it was BxT) were... kinda short lived? I mean I posted for some time, lurked... and now I'm back to posting.

actually, if you look at my join date my paltry 20 something post makes me a noob but i just never came back when they got rid of the gil system.  some of the original members had a blast on this site back when it started.  but things change and peoples lives move on.  i still like to come back here 2-3 times a year and just look around.

but to answer your question.  yes i have.  my first few posts on this site went no where lol.  everyone was like, who the hell is this guy.  once i was more accepted in the community my threads were taken more seriously.

well, the gil system was basically money.  you got gil every time you posted.  you had to buy stuff to upgrade your posts, like larger sig space, multiple colors you could choose from to make your nick kewl, etc etc.  it was fun and there were only like 30 members back then lol.  we still have a facebook group where we all keep in touch.  we even skype a couple times a year.  we used to have an irc channel but no has logged on to it in years.

anyway, ya, the more gil you had the cooler you were lol

WHY DID THEY REMOVE THAT SYSTEM!?

The gil system was awesome but I think they removed it because too many people were spamming the forums

Spamming was always a problem back then because the original server sucked and couldnt handle the bandwidth.  But I think the gil system was discontinued because box changed the forums to a different format.  shoot, does anyone remember when the forums were purple?  i kind of missed the purple forum for a while cause it was easier on the eyes at night (we were all night owls back then).

btw good to see some familiar nicks Proin Drakenzol and NaRu.  Nice to see you two are still around. Hope things are well.  I still watch a little anime from time to time, but i just dont have a lot a time for it anymore.  I still watch naruto but thats it.  Ill tell all the oldies that you guys say hi.

whats sad cell is ive been on bt since almost the beginning of the site but was to lazy to make a forum account till like a year in and it was just to request shows since it was EARLY on in boxtorrents.
And i had lost my original account since ide forgotten the password and there wasnt a password recovery system when the site first started.(either that or i was fucking retarded like 8 years ago and just didnt realize it)

More of a lurker, but been here for a little while. Not that long to be an oldie, but I still feel kinda old reading some of the posts here.

Anyways, I had some fair share of noob days.

When I first got here in BBT, back when it's still BxT, I went on a download spree. I was just so amazed with the high-quality collection of the stuff in here. Before that, I was happily watching anime through online streaming. So yeah, I was just blown away. I mean, watching millions of GN particles explode in HD was orgasmic. Because of this feeling, I just kept downloading and got my ratio to a horrbile 0.04. I considered making another account with an excuse that the account with a horrible ratio wasn't mine, but my brothers. Lol, I thought I can fool the mods with that.

Lowest my ratio ever hit was like a 0.2 lol, at that point  I was like, "uhh, not good." and started uploading.

I now have well over a terabyte uploaded lol
