Tablet for media consumption?

<< < (5/6) > >>

cloudtailx:
So after lots of reaserch i have come to the conclusion that the tablet market isn't quite ready yet.

The ipad is good for manga, not so good for anime.

Android tablets have a good aspect ratio for anime, but not so good for manga.

Some android tablets have more storage than the ipad, but most don't.

A sd card slot helps.

Windows tablets would be the best bet (codec support, hdd size, can also run simple games/visua novels), but have horrible battery life and quite a miserable user interface.

So i guess i won't be getting a tablet just yet.

Thanks for your help guys.

holding something for half an hour at an awkward angle also isn't fun. most people prefer videos to be stationary.

i just remembered something, the new PSPs, it can play both anime and mangas, though the video files need to be in a certain format to be able to play...

Freedom Kira:
The PSP could play anime since the first one came out, and could handle h.264 mp4 videos. I don't know why you're capitalizing on "the new PSPs."

And you can't "play" a manga. If you can, that's news to me.

Funny enough, i have been using a psp for reading manga for about 3 years, and it's awsome xD.
