you're seriously using excel? I thought you were kidding so i said MySQL ;D
that aside though i feel that's more hassle considering you have to copy paste stuff and whatnot.
unless you're doing it some other way.

No I don't have to cut and paste a thing. It is litterly setup in an automatic numbered list that alphabetized automatically and can be sorted by personal rating, alphabetically, genre, and if I own it.
Literally all I do is type in the title and information and it is updated in no time on the fly. There are a lot of people on BakaBT who do it this way. And honestly after about two hours designing the templet two years ago I haven't done anything but update it since.
I tried ANN's MAL but it was way to slow and cumbersome and got junky quickly to the point where I found myself searching over and over again for titles. But as always. It's a pure personal preference.

Heh, i'd be just as worried about an excel tracking list...
"Should i back it up just in case my computer BSOD's?"
"Did i forget to mark this episode?"
"I've forgotten why picked this series got to research."
"Fucking duplicate entries."
Sosseres:
You mark something every time you watch an episode? I only mark episodes when I drop a series for a while, like One Piece, that I drop for a year or so now and then. I am also not following a single series this season, that helps a lot against episode updates (when I was following I just checked my torrent client).

Yes because i forget what episode number i watched quite easily, and if i mark it wrongly i can very easily skip over an episode, almost did that once which lead to countless double takes...
