SSP-Corp:

Cons:
Blurry.
Slightly overcropped.
Rather ugly soft image subs.

BluDragon:

Pros:
Better detail preservation.
Uncompressed audio.
English commentary audio track (without subs, unfortunately).
Cons:
Uncropped.
Slightly upscaled.
No SRT subs (the problem can be fixed by inclusion of external retimed SRT subs from SSP-Corp version, and maybe soft image subs as well, because they are based on a different translation).

Ah, sourced from that PAL DVD… an interesting release and probably the best option sound-wise. Did BluDragon de-interlace this properly?

I was planning to encode an R2J DVD in the more or less distant future, but I didn't plan on muxing in the English audio. Maybe this release will let me re-consider one of these decisions.
