Don't push it. A cat's name will reveal itself. Just play with him a lot and watch how his personality shows.
Also, if you have one kitten, it's usually a Very Good Idea to get two. The cost if two is not much more than the base cost of one, and they will entertain each other (and you) constantly. It is also much healthier for them to have another cat to socialize with. A single cat (especially if kept indoors and isolated from other cats) can develop mental issues and other personality quirks ... effectively, they are going insane from isolation.
Trust me on this one. I've raised and taken care of more than 30 cats over the last 35 years or so. I've also adopted feral colonies, trapped them and got them fixed, immunizations, medical care, caught their kittens and adopted them out.
Kittens need other kittens to grow up with, and young cats (up to 5 or 7 years or more) will still benefit greatly with another cat as a companion.
