Whenever i dissapear or w/e for weeks or a month, the only one who actually takes effort to make contact is me, for 5 years the only reason they have called is because they have a missed called from me, so i just realized they can't be considered friends all to much :O
That's.. sad

Find people who are the same race and make them your friend, more get together that way!

"Hello, fellow white cracker!"
"Why hello to you as well, wonderbread!"
Somehow, I don't see that working out too well. Instead... break social molds... don't prove them. :P

LOL @ the forever alone on the first page. first thing that came to mind after reading the OP.
I pretty much agree with datora here. but i wouldn't expect less from someone who've seen through more than i have.
But to put my own thoughts here, I don't have many IRL friends, maybe just two or three, with the rest just aquaintances. I'm not really very social so that's not surprising. however, i can at least say those three would be the friends i'd be with in a pinch.

I guess it's not surprising how many loners are on this site posting in this thread. I consider myself mostly a loner, I gotta have plenty of "me" time away from people on a regular basis, and I'm pretty shy in new situations, but I also have a small circle of long time close friends, most of whom I've known for 10-20 years, 3 of whom I consider to be practically family.
It's not that hard to make new friends if you want to, it's just a question of a) finding the right place or situation to meet people, b) actually trying to talk to someone, and c) finding common ground to make a connection, usually through talking about mutual interests. Most of you kids who are in school already have a place where you can interact with other people. Of course, friendships do require maintenance, and if you're not willing to invest the time to reach out & keep in touch with your pals or your family, don't expect them to make the effort either.
Having friends also does not always mean having to spend money to see them, although having spending money certainly helps. People who leech free content off of the internet ought to be pretty resourceful in coming up with cheap entertainment.

being a loner is fine, so long as people knows you exist, if you truly are a loner then you`d be shut from your house and only your family know that you exist.
i myself dont have that much friends, i could count them on one hand, plus i wouldn't consider them as true friends, maybe just a buddy or something like that.
