Really, though? I think the environment in SW:TOR is awesome - the character models are the only things that are lacking. The planets look great, the cities are fantastic, the reflections are done well... I haven't run into any sizable bodies of water yet but I hear they're great too.

Graphics remind me of Mass Effect. (And for a good reason :P)

This game is just like wow the only thing to do at end game is pvp or raid. Neither are very useful. There are only like 2 major raid zones and pvp is sorta broken on non high pop or pvp server since they braceted 50's into there own battlegroup. The game isnt bad but right now I dont see it lasting longer term. Bascially the most fun you have is leveling the characters up to play through the different characters class quests. Once that is finished the game is sorta boring and you can either reroll or do what I said above raid and pvp. If your someone like me that has alot of time to play this game is seriously lacking right now. I have a character at 50 already with full teir 2 pvp set. Im already rank 60 valor and started collecting my teir 3 pieces (the highest in the game) The problem is teir 3 can only be gotten by doing the daily/weekly quest so once those are done bascailly I have no reason to use that toon until my guild raids. So I been playing alts but once they are 50 thats pretty much it. Leveling is to fast and there isnt enough to do at max level. This game suffers from the same problem all the cookie cutter mmos latly have. Wow then Rift and now this one. They need to stop copying the crap end game formula and give poeple a reason to play there character for more than 2 hrs a day.

Ah.. that's disappointing..

(click to show/hide)It seems only a few games are actually worthy of becoming MMOs, since most of them just ends up feeling like a glorified single player game with lots of grinding and chatter. (I still think this would've been better played as a single player)

I also think sandbox type games are the best suited to becoming MMOs, just like what EVE online did.

I just wish they finally add mobile drop suits and allow planet colonization, Since outer space is such a big pile of emptiness and most of the time you'll be fighting against stuff from far away that you can barely even see what they look like.. But I digress..

AceHigh:
Sakubo, thank you for that info. I think if this game was also sold as single player game, I would probably play it like the other KOTOR games. However I feel that it is unjustified to pay a monthly subscription to play TOR as single player game, since it apparently has few merits as a multiplayer game.

Looks like it's settled then, I will wait for GW2 instead.
