Dragon Nest
« on: July 24, 2011, 12:07:56 PM »

Played this game during closed beta and loved it.

Open beta comes out on the 26th and I'll definitely be playing this more.

Such a fun game, I'm a sucker for action-mmorpgs.

Does it have global cooldown on skills?

No.

As a matter of fact, my warrior was a lot of fun because the way you combo with him is to use certain moves after others.

Some have longer animations at the end or beginning of the though, which is why you can't just use ANY move after another to continue a combo.

Been playing the game with an archer and it's been quite enjoyable.

Oh and there is this funny thing with European IPs being blocked.

The reason for the blocking is because there are like 5 versions of the game all licensed by different companies.  Nexon only licensed it in NA while other regions it was licensed by other games.

Anyways, I've been playing a mercenary and wow, it is crazy fun.  Combat gets really hectic in abyss mode.

My only beef with the game is that hard/master modes are both way too easy.  You NEED to be in abyss for it to be challenging, even if you're playing solo.

This. I really have not seen any reason to get the recommended number of players for Hard or Master modes because soloing has been so ridicilousily easy.

When / how do you actually unlock Abyss? Been wondering about that.

Starting with Assassin's Den, all areas are automatically fully unlocked, Easy-Abyss.

The first 5-6 dungeons have no abyss mode, and game forces you to play normal>hard>master.

I'm guessing it's to help baddies by forcing a difficulty curve on them.

Help me out with this game. It's telling me I don't have enough space. My first choice had an HDD with 20 gigs free space. The second partition had 40+ gigs. At the moment, the installation is BUGGED. So I can't install this game.

Also, Nexon = game is gonna get ruined sooner or later.

Let's just wish that it won't be soon.

Nexon's Korean counterpart had no part in development of this game.

The only changes I know of between Korean version and NA version is more expensive cash shop and NO FATIGUE system.

Kids need to stop bashing Nexon because it's cool.

People are bashing Nexon because of how their cash shop tends to work. With the best items being in them instead of in the game. I don't know if that applies to this game, but I assume it will, if it does not now.

Quote from: Example of people whining about it
You want additional stats on your equipment? Sure, that's available too now that NX equipment has stats on them. Did I mention that the stats on your NX equipment stacks on top of your primary gear? Oh, and you see those weapons with +12 on them? Yep, you guessed it, you can get those too with the use of NX cash. Item protection jellies make it so your item has no chance of breaking.
