It was released in April 2010 but seeing that there isn't a thread on it, and that it's a very underrated game which very little of the world's population has heard about, I decided to post a thread for it.

I stumbled upon this game only a couple of days ago and played the hell out of it. I've completed part one and

.
It's about a father who attempts to find a cure for daughter which has succumbed to the "black scrawl", the start of the game has me horribly puzzled but I'll assume that I'll find all the answers I seek when I finish the game (No one tell me!).

The start is in 2049, and afterwards the game cuts forward over a millennium years later, which we see what appears to be the same two characters.

What I must say so far about this game is that,
1. The Music is Amazing. It's made 15 hours of running back and forth worth it.
2. The Story so far is Amazing.
3. The fact that there are so many elements put in that game is Brilliant. (Hack & Slash / RPG / Side Scroller / Text-Based Games)

The only let-downs would be the small variety of locations you visit and the visuals, PS2-ish with some lag spikes. It's nice to have some games with older graphics, I guess.

Anyone who hasn't played or heard about NieR should definitely go pick up a copy.
NieR is the only game that I love on par with Final Fantasy XIII.

I picked it up a few weeks ago from a local retailer and I need to get back to it. One thing that easily stood out was the soundtrack, it's incredible.

Especially this.

I'm actually right where you are in the game Damian.

Stu, agreed about the soundtrack. Sometimes I'll just stand around in town to listen to Devola sing for awhile.
