I have a Kindle 3. It's easy to read in the sun, it's light, the battery lasts for weeks, and it was pretty cheap. It's a bit too big to go in a pocket.

Anyway, the lot with Kindles, protect the screen if you don't have the extended warranty. Shit's brittle.

how about a removable screen protector? i mean take it off during heavy use and put it back on when you're not using it, or using it but only to quick view something.

By protect the screen I meant something like a hardcover case.
