I can read mine pretty well in the sun. Only certain angles where I have full reflection don't work. Other than that I have no problems.

The problem I do have though is in a weakly lit room. When I have the reader so the lamp "shadows" the text I can't read. It is a tiny tad worse in poorly lit areas compared to a normal book.

How large is yours? 7/10 inch?

How long does it last, on a full charge?

Mine is the smallest variant, a 5 inch (so I can carry it in a pocket). Tend to charge it roughly every 7-8 days. Depends on how much I read. I have gone as long as two weeks before needing to charge, read very little that period. Might as well have had it turned off.

Wouldn't a seven incher fit in the breast pocket easily as well?

I don't have any clothes with a breast pocket, only winter jackets. So I fit it in my trouser pockets, anything bigger than 5 inch wouldn't fit in those. Maybe some 6 inch ones would fit in certain trousers but not all of mine. I know some have awesome solutions for things like that but I am lazy.

I have a Kindle 3. It's easy to read in the sun, it's light, the battery lasts for weeks, and it was pretty cheap. It's a bit too big to go in a pocket.

Really? My kindle fits well enough in my jeans/pants/breast pocket.

Anyway, the lot with Kindles, protect the screen if you don't have the extended warranty. Shit's brittle.

But putting a screen protector on would stop the screen being so nice and non reflective. All I've seen is complaints of them ruining them :/

how about a removable screen protector? i mean take it off during heavy use and put it back on when you're not using it, or using it but only to quick view something.

By protect the screen I meant something like a hardcover case.

^Ah. I have cases for it and it's always kept between sketchbooks anyway.
