An obvious statement  ;)

Relic keeps making cool Warhammer40K games while Vigil Games are working on their MMO. Once they are finished with Dark Millenium Online, a whole shitload of gamers will be familiar with 40K making it a solid IP for the MMO in the industry.

The best part is: we gamers benefit from whatever they seem to be doing.

Wait, wasn't 40K already a solid IP, if not the most solid IP? I mean 40K inspired Starcraft, inspired the "chainsaw" weapon, inspired the shishkebob (in Fallout), Helll... it even inspired Halo (Humans as humans, Cov as the Eldar, Flood as Orcs... make sense? :P).

AceHigh:
I agree that Warhammer IP is solid as a rock and has been so for the last 20 years. However I meant that it is now more solid in the video game industry. I am sure that ever since the first Dawn of War game, the Warhammer IP got more of the non-tabletop fans.

I will admit, I never played the table top game... but I have been playing relic RTS's since Homeworld.

AceHigh:
Speaking of which, now that Relic bought back Homeworld IP from Vivendi, there is a slight hope that they will get back to making what they make best :)

Yeah, if Homeworld comes back, I am jizzing my pants.

Also I have to say that if it wasn't for Fallout games (Fallout and Fallout2) We would probably not see Warhammer 40K DOW that early on PC games.

Also Warhammer is feeding us for a bit more than that but then 40k came and literally took over the entire market. A lot more games were inspired by Warhammer games (both) but 40K had a huge impact on futuristic weapons and games overall.

I guess the concept of the Power Armor was always in the head but it was Warhammer 40K that actually brought it to life. If you compare all the Power armors used in gaming industry you will see they are all looking similar.

In this game, I fount myself using Bolter Pistol most often. There is an easy way to stun the Nob though, this is what I did to stun him:
Throw a grenade behind him to make him slightly panicked, then Charge Attack on him, your squarmates will shoot at him on occasion weakening him, but before the grenade just shoot at his helmet a bit and after the charge he should be stunned, wait for him to wake up and stun him again, cuz he will grab you instead, second stun is slash+slash+F (should work, worked most of the time for me) and then just execute.

Vengeance Launcher Tips:

Don't shoot at the enemies, shoot and make traps from the grenades, once the enemies are near your designated grenade you can detonate it with "R", I don't know if it's intentional but the closest grenade to your targeting pointer explodes first. Might be coincidence, if someone could confirm I would be thankful.

Power Axe:
You can only find it on the first level near the Elevator in the repository tank, when you approach it it will start talking if you stop by in front of it, it will ask you to press E, and it will talk that the weapon is unlocked. This weapon cuts like hot knife through butter through most enemies, takes a few hits more to kill the Nob than to kill the standard ones.
Executions are different so I assume all execution moves differ from enemy and weapon.
In this Demo it is not saved to the second level (Which is a third level in the retail release if you ask me)

Jump Pack:
You can jump really high with it and it really is an awesome fast traveling device. Charge attack is changed.
You can short Jump away from enemies to the left, right and back, and even forward to make a short jump on the enemies.
Combine jump+chainsword attack very fast for a short stun attack (Jump+insta chainsword) it's awesome.
Another combo is throwing a grenade behind enemies forcing them to move towards you and then Charge attack in Jump Pack suite. The standard boyz will die instantly and the others will get stunned begging you to execute them.

Bolter Pistol is sometimes better than Boltergun or stalker riffle. But you can really have a lot of fun with all weapons.

I do agree that we need a flamer here :)

Gotta admit NOB is a tough bastard to deal with XD
I wouldn't expect anything less :D
