Magic the gathering
Lupin:
I started playing the game in 1994, around the time Unlimited was released. I think I played the hardest during the Tempest-Urza blocks. I'm still following the game, still buying cards, but I play/purchase less these days. Real life caught up.

Fixed.
But yeah, indestructible is far from over powered. However, there were some overpowered mechanics in Mirridin block (affinity could be abused to the extreme as well as the archbound stuff).
On the subject of DnD, I loved 3.5, but it became ridiculous. I had a wizard with a non-epic invisible (negates dodge AC) long sword capable of hitting as a touch attack with non typed dicintigration damage that dealt CON damage (everyhit) and ignored DR (you swing it, they take HP and CON damage and there isn't a damn thing they can do about it). Worse, she had a laundry list of supernatural abilities which when combined with abjuration made her invincible.

no offense, but exile is the proper term (section 2C). so fix/errata yourself plz ;)
nstgc:
I know what the proper term is, if I didn't I wouldn't have known to fix your mistake. The problem is in the source materiel. For some reason all official sources say "exile".
(this is sarcasm. I dislike the new wording as well as the fact that they made it easy to return cards into the game.

I would say it is harder to return cards to the game since you can't bring back exiled cards with wishes anymore :(

Oddly enough those two mechanics weren't what made the deck broken, they just helped it push over the edge. The artifact lands (fueling affinity, Shrapnel Blast, disciple of the vault, ect...) and disciple of the vault (allowing for stupidly early kills). IMO they could have just gotten rid of those two and the deck would have still been strong, but it wouldn't have been insanely fast. I think WotC just wanted to make sure the deck was dead. No single mechanic or card made the deck broken. It was just a bunch of cards in the right place at the right time. You can even say WotC over did the artifact theme.
