Magic the gathering

Actually, I believe there are a host of new cards which bring back cards outside of the game. Its now like bringing back from the graveyard (or so I'm told)!
Yeah, I had a 60 card deck with 12 lands and not a single non-artifact card. I'd muligan down to a "perfect" hand and would have won by tern 5 by smacking people arround with a 43/39 with flying, cannot be blocked by more than one creature, cannot be blocked by fewer than two creatures, cannot be the target of spells or activated abilities, double strike, first strike, tramble and some other nasty things. Normally they died before that. A 21/20 flier does just as well most of the time.
I had 3 DotV, but never used them. Didn't need to and I didn't own any Retrievers.

You are correct, there are some cards that do that, however they aren't exactly common or even good.

Threshold was probably the last mechanic I found pretty decent. Madness (I quit soon after torment so I don't know what happened afterwards) and those were sorta ghey.
Playing shit from in and out of the graveyard and in and out of the game was fucking messed.

I started playing around Kamigawa and still play today. I mostly play EDH (commander) format though.
On subbject, Cockatrice is probably the best way to play magic, since it allows for all formats, is free, and is free form, allowing you some freedom.

I am not sure what cockatrice is, but I have recently started playing commander decks a lot. Kinda annoying that you can only have one of every card aside from land, but its fun and it takes a while. My only issue really is that in the time it takes to play a commander game I could run thru 3 regular decks.
Ive only got 3 regular decks atm. Two straight play decks; white, red, and a blue support deck for teams. (Actually, I got a green deck also, but I am still working on condensing it.)
I used to have tons and tons of cards and decks (between beta and Ice Age,) but I sold my collection around 10 years ago and only just got back into the game about 1 year ago. I miss them, but I managed to buy a fukkin car with the profits :P
