Macros

I'm finding the repetitiveness of some games quite irritating. When it comes to macros, there are a lot of options. You could buy a gaming keyboard with programmable macro buttons, or maybe you can find some software that will let you assign macros to various keys. There are several softwares out there. Many are overly complex, such as AutoHotKey, and practically require you to know a programming language to use them. Others are out dated and simply don't work any more. Lately, I've been using Auto Macro Recorder, but my shareware copy has expired. Should I just buy Auto Macro Recorder, or is there something better out there I haven't found yet?

What game?

Sosseres:
I use Logitech Gaming Software that comes with my G11 keyboard. If you have a Logitech keyboard you could likely use that even without macro buttons. I tend to not use very complex macros either. Things like holding down u or hitting space every .15 seconds while toggled.

Sorry I can't help you. :/ I know how annoying some games can be without a repetition remover.

I don't have any specific game in mind, but there are several examples. Lets say you are playing a side scroller, and holding the shift button is the run key. In this game, there is no reason for you to ever walk, so you are holding the run key all the time. It's kind of annoying. Or maybe you're playing a fighting game, and a combination of keys makes your character preform a specific move. It's much easier to combine all those keystrokes into one key. Or maybe you are playing a game that frequently has you do something retarded, like press two keys as fast as you can over and over again to raise some kind of progress bar. Or maybe you are playing any number of Facebook games that require you to wait for a bunch of timers to end so you can click on a bunch of stuff and start the timers over again, or that reward you for visiting your hundreds of friends restaurants, farms, cities, whatever every day.

Tatsujin:
Most gaming mouses or keyboards come with free programs that you can set a macro in whatever keys you wish specifically for different games. I use Razer Lycosa keyboard and Razer Naga. I only used one auto-recording macro on my Razer Naga (auto Heroic Leap). My keyboard can also be macrod from the program it came with. Invest in gaming keyboards or mice and they should come with those applications. Make sure it says that they DO come with them.
