(aggravating Finn-bait picture, because we all hate how he's with Sweden...)

Oh ye proud Finns!

Finland is a small country, yet you can spot tens of us in any kind of internet communities/games/stuff that have some kind of nerd-value.

This is possible only because 95% of our population are nerds! We are evenly split into internet - each of us gets a tag when we're born that guides us where to go nerding: ''you go to anime, you to MMORPG, this lucky on gets to go to Wow!''

Let us prove that this is true indeed - come out from your gloomy nerd holes fellow Finns!

You're not one us? That is ok - reveal a closet-Finn here! Drag them here and beat them with Finn-Swede-Norwegian jokes! Or a vihta!

It will count, because if you come to Helsinki, Finns will kidnap you and never let you out.

They will take you to sauna and whip you with a vista and then force you to roll in snow/swim in an ice cold lake. And you will have to eat mämmi, which is some black slime stuff. And then you have to drink lots of almost 100% alcohol.

You Finns may have some funny names with way too many vowels, but you do have some good Metal bands. And you have the Kalevala, which Tolkien borrowed heavily from, so you're OK in my book.

Although my impression is that Finland is considered to be the red-headed stepchild of Scandinavia, subject to general verbal abuse by Sweden & Norway. Kind of like how we in the U.S. treat Canadians.

But I do agree about the music, some great metal comes from Finland

I'm not so much into Folk Metal, although I've been meaning to give it more of a chance. My tastes are more along the lines of Before The Dawn, Sentenced, Amorphis, Wintersun, Black Sun Aeon, etc.

And and and, most of our names are good? It's not year 1800 anymore, when every man was named Pertti, Tuomas or Kaarle! Also, we actually pronounce the words like they're written! I hate many languages for having one hundred ways to pronounce ''e''. *hmph*

Take Ville Laihiala for instance -- he's got more vowels than consonants in his name.... It just ain't right, I tell ya. I suppose Swedish names are no better or worse, though, with everyone being named Anders or Bjorn or Bjorn Andersson or Anders Bjornson.

Wasn't Finland voted or had some sort of experiment that proved it was the happiest country in the world? I mean nothing really goes bad or wrong in Finland that much... so I would imagine it's a nice place to live (not to mention people are ACTUALLY nice).
