Drama-subbing? Ppl that STILL encodes in useless divx/xivd? (not all luckily, and little by little they are moving more to h264). Ppl that at this point of age STILL hardsubs, and ofc, the reencodes are from preencoded raws, not the TS. When watching dramas you have to go out on the wild to hunt raws (and pray there are 2 or 3 seeders), then search and pray again on (usually) d-addicts to find srt subs taken from the hardsubs and that they match the raws. The drama-subbing community sucks. Too hard for my taste. Let's hope the h264 trend continues to increase (and to think the anime community is already thinking in 10-bit... insane) and let's pray to all the gods of Shinto that someone kicks their heads and start making softsubs. But I doubt it... they are [another thing to the retarded list] on the "OH NOES, doing softsubs makes anyone being able to rip our hard work"
I know we have to be grateful for their job, but it's like taking it to an extreme. You're supposing to do it because you like it, with a "sharing is caring" mind, not that assed attitude of only think ppl will "rip" you on anything. I'd be more than delighted that someone ripped my subs and use it in a BD release for example. And before you bitch at me, yeah, I don't do anything, but I'd like to. When I reach a decent level of Jap I'd like to start on a little something. It'll take a while for that to happen... a long while <_<
