Yeah, but America didn't even exist a few hundred years ago, so you can't really be 100% American since your family most likely came from somewhere in Europe originally and just moved to America. I mean the same could probably be said of the populations of most countries to an extent if you go far enough back, but America especially.

Somebody whose family has lived on the American continents for a minimum of 2k years. They then must not have any genes from the more recent European/African/Asian immigration. That is about as close as you can come since Americans are immigrants, as most humans are.

i said it was rare, if not completely lost. well to say how i`d differentiate a 100% american would be to find an american native that has never crossed from their tribe for more than 2000years. when Columbus discovered america there was already people living on it, most likely those are true americans.

I would say that the only way of being 100% American, wouldn't be to trace back 2K year, but to actually trace back to the original Diverging genome, based on location, and to then go forward until today, with the same essential bloodline with that genome change.  (By the way...don't hold your breath)

Humanity actually functions better by NOT being 100% anything.  It is better to incorporate many of the adaptations made by man into a single conglomerate, for the betterment of the species.  Actually, scientist should bloody know that by now, so taking ones own genes to produce another human would be asinine even to them.

Not completely. Nature is full of examples that prefer clones to sex. In natures point of view, it's a better idea to clone oneself a hundred times and have sex once in a while to keep some amount of variation, than to replicate solely via sex. Due to how much less effort it takes to create an offspring via cloning compared to mating.

And genetic drift is much more noticeable amongst more isolated species than ones continuously intermixing.

If you really think about it, give it a few more hundred years, American might be somewhat legit, it would be a few pockets of this and that color, but probably predominantly beige.

I'm being semi sarcastic and serious too. What, you'd think it's be pure white?
