Mmmmmmm, there is nothing better than a proper stonebaked Italian pizza. With tomato, onions, garlic, cheese, and peppers on it (maybe pepperoni too if I'm in the mood). None of this fatty American-style shit for me, thank you very much. Proper Italian pizzas are actually fairly healthy, and so lovely and crispy and delicious. *drools*

American-style deep-pan pizzas are very good too, but not as nice, and as people have said, will make you fat pretty quick. They are tasty though.

deep dish, sauce, cheese x2, mushrooms, blacks olives, fresh tomato, and chicken.

-or-

regular crust, cheese, mushrooms, teriyaki chicken, corn, and mayonnaise. (what I get in Japan)

The linear nature of your Euclidean geometry both confounds and befuddles me.

Well made pizza where they don't skimp on the toppings is good. I hate cheap food be it pizza, sushi, pasta or hamburgers. Doesn't matter what food it is, if it's made with quality then it will taste good.

really pizza as far as stateside goes im talking pizza not pan pizza not deep dish shit not sicilian pizza, not tomato pies.

Just regular pizza, is one of those foods that can be soooooo tasty when done right.

Sadly the combo of finding a place with good flavored sauce that is a good consistency(not to water or clumpy and thick) good dough flavor and consistency with proper crust thickness and cooking, and really the cheese makes the least difference for the most part. Is such a pain in the ass. Ive been kinda spoiled since i have had award winning pizza in jersey ive been to tons of places around philly and a couple in NY. Really its amazing how much difference you get from place to place to place.
Fun part is knowing that because i live within close proximity of like 10 colleges/universities there is a mass abundance of pizza in my area. But only like 2 or 3 places make a decent pizza which is really kinda depressing. Since off hand i could probably name 10 or 15 pizza places within like 5 minutes of my house

Either way the important thing is to note that store bought pizza is absolutely shit. Dominoes and pizza hut and papa johns should not really be considered pizza they are that bad and there is so much sugar in their sauces.

I dont know how people outside of like the tristate area of the northeast usa survive

Pizza... I consider it junk food... And since I try to eat healty, I just refuse eating pizza as much as possible.
But I guess I somewhat like tuna (and strangly enough I hate salami on a pizza).

Anyway, an average person would need like 2500kcal per dag (females a little less). One pizza can easily be 1500+kcal -_-; And since I like eating 3 warm meals a day, pizza is a no-go XD

I like my pizza with a lot of meat and if I'm in the right mood jalapeños. And normally thin and crispy, I dislike thick pizzas.

My favourite pizza (the one I bother to bake occasionally) has a thick bottom and has a bottom and top to close it. Makes it more juicy than those dry ones one normally gets. Might have to do with me hating cheese and never having it on pizza...

Extra cheese, extra cheese, extra cheese and extra olives ~nyann

This is one cat that enjoys cheese.

Oh yeah I meant for that stuff in my pizza, but I like those separately as well, ~nyann.  :)

Pizza... I consider it junk food...

I think you're mistaking pizza for mcdonald's ultra-fried shit.  ::)

pizza only makes you fat if you exaggerate with it and doesn't cover you face with zits.

by the way, pizza ftw. my favourite one is with tomato, ham and pineapple, which sounds weird on a pizza but it actually tastes good.

^ :P yk, I'm just kidding xD but it is true, I only have meat, cheese and sauce on my pizzas xD veggies belong into soups, breads, stews and oven.
Thats what i thought until i ate it, THEN I SAW GOD!

That's the mushrooms, dear.

I like most any pizza that is not sweetened ... so, low- or no- sugar sauce, no pineapple, etc.  MEat is good when used in moderation, but I can't do sausage (it gives me horrible heartburn & the flavor is meh), and more exotic meat like bacon I don't do.

Although, I have used sautéed chicken and have tried both alligator and rattlesnake meat ... which was pretty good.

For ~15 years I had a huge ceramic pizza stone in my kitchen and would make my own on a regular basis.  Lots of fresh garden herbs ... like fresh basil, thyme and garlic worked into the dough.  Lots of fresh tomato, olives of many varieties, red onion (is best), various bell peppers, mushrooms of many sorts but portobello and shitake top my list.

When I like it hot, then habeñero peppers, the bright orange ones and lots of them.

When possible, I have also cooked my pizza on a grill using wood smoke such as apple or mesquite wood.

It's fun to experiment with different cheeses.  The standard greasy pizza hut plastic never makes it onto my pizzas.  Usually I use a combination of cheeses, selected to compliment whatever else is used.  So, provolone, (sharp) cheddar, parmesan, feta and goat cheese are all options.

Some whole wheat flour, or even a bit of roasted corn meal, are always good amendments for the dough.  Always and only use high quality virgin olive oil; it really brings out flavors and adds a bit of its own while being a supremely healthy ingredient.

Done right, pizza is one of the healthiest meals you can make.
I win, once again, in my never-ending struggle against victory.

Mushrooms and black olives with crushed red pepper on top. Perhaps some pepperoni, depending on where I am getting it. (I dont get store bought, I only eat take out/delivery or at the restaurant.)
I like pizza a lot, when its made right. I also only really like thin crust. No deep dish for me, thx.

Anyway, like most fatty foods, I try to eat it sparingly. Ive got enough unhealthy habits as it is, no need to add poor eating habits to the list.

I prefer thin crust too.

I can eat about all types and anytime, except for anchovies.  Also prefer it without pineapples (my roommate's favorite).

regular crust, cheese, mushrooms, teriyaki chicken, corn, and mayonnaise. (what I get in Japan)
Seen some exotic combinations from Japan, but this seems worth trying.
