How. when and where did you learn to swim?

When I was 2 I think. Between 1½ and 3 years. Summer cottage on a lakeshore so... :)
What's funny? I still can't swim proper. ;D
It's completely unefficient. I suck at staying a float but if I dive, I pretty much zoom.

I was like 8 years old and my dad taught me how to swim...he just threw me into the pool.

When I was 5 and I was at the pool with my mom for like the second or third time, I forget. Anyways we were at the deep end. I was letting go of the edge and going underwater and she would pull me out when I waved my hands. Well some lady come over and started talking to my mom and they were so immersed in the conversation, that she forgot to pay attention to me when I went underwater. I think I must have been underwater flailing my arms for 30 seconds, before I finally managed to start pushing water with my hands and get my head out to breath.
