[Zantzu] Galaxy Angel X
myrstidal:
Edit: I got the problem fixed, so no problems.
Zalis116:
While it's true that Zantzu benefits from DVD source, softsubbing, and more modern codecs/container, it's not the be-all, end-all of perfection. See my comments on the torrent for more details. Zantzu gives better clarity/colors and fewer visual artifacts, but suffers from encoding flaws like an incorrect framerate (=noticeably jerky movement in panning sequences) and interlacing errors (especially visible with onscreen text during OP/ED/previews).
Zantzu's subtitles are unstyled .srt, which means jumbled formatting whenever there's overlapping dialogue or dialogue + songs/text at the same time. Subtitle timing is late in ep 01, and has had no post-processing done to it, so you get plenty of flash, flicker, and scenebleeds.
I'd never contend that the AH version is overall better (it is XviD/DTV from 2004, after all), but imo it does have enough to offer that it should be allowed to stay and coexist. Its subtitle styling isn't the greatest, but there was at least some care and effort put into the formatting.

Wouldn't Ah stay regardless? I mean, official VS fan subtitles and all that?

Not since BakaBT adopted its current 'subtitle neutrality' policy, though AH will likely stay regardless either as Group C (because Zantzu is partly dual-audio) or Group D (because of the other reasons Zalis116 posted).
