I dunno why some don't like the first episode, or the OVA. I liked them so far.
You can't really put a lot into 20 minutes, but both OVA and this first episode had placed a lot of flags and a lot of premise. You should be able to notice that this story might be very psychological in nature, Action from BRS and stuff like that will be there probably but it's not the main point.
(click to show/hide)To me it's pretty obvious that BRS is in a sort of subconsciousness of that girl, her only main problems were that someone was peeking in, the consciousnesses world doesn't seem to depict the girls self though, but after meeting that blondie her mind have been invaded by fears.
The other girl seems nice enough (the new girl, not the old friend) and she has some issues with the blondie, I think this will get explained in more detail later on as the series goes, but my guess would be something happened and the pig-tails girl feels guilty. While the Blondie is technically dominating her in exploiting that guilt. Most probably she knows she is not to blame but she likes what she is doing.

The opening was stupendous, but I felt like parts of the episode were lacking.
(click to show/hide)BRS isn't exactly a subconscious representation of Mato; they share a lot of the same traits because they're the same person (somehow or other) and everything is actually happening, it's covered at the end of the OVA.

I think it made perfect sense other than the character redesign of Takanashi, but that isn't a huge deal. Loving it so far.

I thought the OVA was just decent, and a bit hard to follow (took 2 views before I really got it). I think everybody knew that this was just WAITING to be announced. I mean there was no way so much franchising would be done for a single OVA. I hope that they don't just totally drop the slice of life aspect like some seem to want. If they still have both the school story and BRS action story going on at the same time, but give far more attention to the action than the OVA did then this thing could be

Good god. To all of you idiots who bitched about the OVA sucking and wanting a new studio to work on the series, I hope your happy. Now the characters look like they belong in south park because of a non-existent budget and a shitty artist.
