first of all,
i like this show very much!
i get mindfucked after ep 5 i just watched ep 7 and now im even more mindfucked!
i love mindfuck anime`s! especially at the end ( not much episodes but u know what i mean )

next week when final episode comes out im going to watch it again and again!

I think they're setting it up for Yuu/Strength to die, perhaps too obviously.  But I'm kind of hoping they all combine forces to shatter Fate and break the world in a Good Way, one that opens a healing path for all.

If Mato gets her way, her heart will triumph over all, she might be able to rewrite the ending ... but will the cost be a Little Bird?  Or, is there a path by which the Little Bird can fly away, wearing all colors?  As Yomi now demonstrates, Death need not be eternal, and it seems that some may Return, perhaps as an Avatar Reborn with new purpose.

BRS in current state is a menace, but in her regular state she was trying to help the girls, Mato must awaken, but to do that, she has to face her own griefs and pains. and there are two ways of stopping BRS from being berserk. Defeat her, or become her.

Yuu switched with Strength which surprised me, But Yomi started remembering Mato in a good way, as a very dear friend, and the Blondie started to feel it as well in a good way, because thanks to Mato she regained her life.

just caught up to episode 7, Im liking it altho it trew me off balance and now I dont know wtf is going on. . .
I understand the gist of the story, like who is doing what and that whole Yuu thing . . .

but what tripped me off is

How old is Yuu?
Is Yuu alive? (she didnt have a shadow)

this confusion comes out of the fact that Saya knew her, and it was all nice and dandy, but then Mato knows her from childhood as well (and if there are 2 Yuus, say she was reborn when they swapped places) what about the current Yuu's living conditions? parents and such. . . cause Mato has memories of her

so my own conclusion is that Strenght is Mato's friend and Yuu is Saya's friend, but the timeline is pretty confusing
also Saya's intentions of putting so much burden on the girls to "awaken" their alter-egos is still very shady and TBH complete nonsense. . .Saya isnt the bad guy after all or whats up?!

For all we know Strength slipped into the life of the local people, we don't know how long she's been doing that, but when she slipped out everyone forgot about her so it's just memory manipulation.

It could be that Strength slipped into Mato's memories as her best friend recently soon before Saya's arrival and manipulated memories of the locals as if she was always there.

well, it was a pretty overly happy ending, but the lead up to it was done so well that it seemed right, not like they were trying to just make it turn out that way no matter what. this anime was done extremely well, the only thing i could complain about is it being only 8 episodes, but i guess thats what makes it unique.
PS: i had to crack up at Strength's tail wagging in the final scene when she regenerated and saw brs

Started watching it, and already finished through 4 episodes. Damn it only 8 episodes.

Well I don't what was all that fuss about, but it's really awesome.

Though I think I prefer the the one's who did the OVA animation.  Death master with glasses is NOT sexy.   (yeah, yeah, I know it suits the char and stuff but I like what I like)

Sooooo, instead of sleeping I ended up watching till the end. Good thing I waited till it finished, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to concentrate on my tests while waiting every week for a new episode to come out.

Gotta say it was one of the best anime's I had seen in a while and that it didn't turn out to be something put together for the fans.

I still don't understand why Takanashi aka Death Master has a red bracelet instead of green, even after learning all about the other world and stuff. Kagari's pink bracelet can be passed as it's just as pale as her 'other self' which was pale gold.

Because the color doesn't matter. Maybe she just liked it, it doesn't matter as all was saved by a little girl, following the world of anime, it's astonishing how many times young girls save the world. We should make a monument in their memory.
Just like Krogans on the Citadel.

Anime with one of the most beautiful animations I've ever seen. Storyline was also interesting. I watched this in one blow.

However, i liked OVA's story more.

Anyways, great animation, great music, best seiyuus, good story, interesting characters. I love it! <3

Taking a break from Higurashi, watch BRS, totally worth it!

I watched the OVA months ago and loved it, so when the BD's of the anime were out I blacked everything out to watch it. AND I LOVE IT.

Still, I prefer Dead Masters look from the OVA than here, but both are pretty awesome!

I understood everything, but its strange to think about Yu's age. We have the Yu during Saya's time, and then Strength in Yu's body during Mato's time. How does that work? The timelines don't make sense since Mato knew Yu during her childhood, yet Yu was clearly in school with Saya probably while Mato was a little kid. (I'm guessing Saya is a decade older than Mato). Yu's timeline, I don't even?
