HP quits consumer market
bloody000:
At this point I think it's pretty much certain that there is zero stock in Canada.

Why would anyone want to get a touchpad when HP isn't going to do anymore updates for it. I rather have a tablet that will be supported

I work for Staples in their Tech department and this whole thing with selling their division sucks. Can't tell you how many people I had call yesterday or come into store looking for the damn touchpads. Not to mention, half of the laptops we sell are HP laptops and probably our most recommended ones, since in comparision, the HP laptops have better specs. We also sell more HP desktops than any other brand.
Not sure how this is going to affect what we carry in the future or what brand we'll replace it with. Sucks but it'll also be interesting what the higher ups in Staples think is more worth it (for christ sakes we have an entire isle dedicated to HP Printers :o)

Good riddance! If you can't build your rig from parts, you don't deserve to use it.

How do you propose that people build laptops? I believe (and agree) that people should be able to build towers from the options a company gives. At that point though, it would be significantly cheaper just to go to newegg or similar website.
