This is from the Urban Dictionary. It might not mean what OP meant. Well, maybe number 2.

oddly enough, i have never heard slagging being used used like this, or at all... ever.

Anyway, the OP is from the UK, "slagging someone off" just means talking shit about somebody behind there back...
