I agree. Hong Kong and Taiwanese dubs are pretty good. Much better than English dubs I find.
They are not bad but what is a Hong Kong dub? Like in Cantonese?
Yeah Cantonese dubs. Let's see, classics I watched in Cantonese back in the late 80's to early 90's. Dragonball, Saint Seiya, Maison Ikkoku, Ranma, Touch, City Hunter, Captain Tsubasa, Nausicaa, Laputa, Totoro. These are the big names, very popular in Hong Kong at the time.
Taiwanese dubs in Mandarin in the early to mid 80's. SDF Macross, Science Ninja Team Gatchaman, Mospeada, Ganba no Boken, Rose of Versailles and many Gattai type super robot series (The names I can't remember, need to search anidb). I was only a baby way back then in Taiwan. But memories of me and my sisters all gathered round the TV catching all these shows remain pretty vivid in my head. Back then televisions didn't even have remotes.
